Solutions Support Consultant/Junior Professional Services Consultant – Milton Keynes

A business born from consultancy and focussed around efficient workflows, lean processes and reduction of expenditure are currently looking to grow their Professional Services team. The role will initially be based out of their Milton Keynes office, and will involve an element of travel. Starting on the Support Desk, you will be responsible for triaging calls and providing 2nd and 3rd line support on a range of software; with a long-term plan to develop into a Professional Services Consultant, responsible for discovery, design, implementation and post-sales support work.

The Person

Essential Experience

  • Experience of working within a Helpdesk or Support role providing 2nd line support on a range of software’s and solutions
  • Knowledge of ECM, EDM, AP or Image Capture solutions
  • Strong understanding of networks and network security models
  • Technically astute, process driven with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Strong problem solving skills that provide flexible and well considered solutions
  • Hungry for development and knowledge
  • Passion for excellent customer experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • A Graduate that has ideally completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge/experience of programming/scripting (C#, .NET, VB, Python, Perl, PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and Web Based Technologies (JavaScript)
  • Full UK Driving License

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic, troubleshooting and resolution strategies to customers
  • Working closely with customers and solution vendors to locate and resolve product issues
  • Manage support ticket escalations, via phone and email, taking accurate notes and ensuring SLA’s are achieved
  • Document and track all activities to ensure full visibility to internal teams
  • To provide onsite and remote customer training, creating knowledge based articles
  • Ensure that all work undertaken adheres to company standard
  • A professional and focussed interface to ensure clarity of communication
  • Acting as a role model for the team, providing exceptional technical guidance
  • Build relationships across all areas of the business, both with internal teams, partners and clients alike
  • Provide periodic and accurate progress reporting to management
